Looking for a unique and remote destination for your wedding? Kenauk Nature would be happy to host you on that special day! We are happy to work with you and your wedding coordinator to taylor our venue and services package to your needs.

The Whitefish Lake site is perfect for a wedding ceremony and reception. It has a permanent shelter that can accommodate up to 120 people. An additional tent can be rented to increase the site’s capacity. The shelter is a structure with a roof and a half wall of wooden logs, and the upper part is open. The floor is made of concrete.

Additional services such as catering, decoration, music, table and chair rental, etc. are not offered by Kenauk Nature, therefore you may hire external companies at your discretion. We do have a list of trusted suppliers we can share with you to simplify your research. The caterer will have access to a kitchen onsite.

For overnight accommodations, a total of 22 chalets can be booked to fully experience Kenauk Nature. You will find a list and description of each chalet (with pictures) on our website.

How far in advance can a wedding be booked at Kenauk Nature?

Wedding reservations can generally be made up to 365 days in advance. Since summer and fall dates are highly sought after, we recommend booking as early as possible.

Are weddings offered year-round at Kenauk Nature?

Weddings are possible in all four seasons, though outdoor ceremonies mostly take place in summer and fall, when the natural surroundings are at their finest. A permanent wooden structure with a roof is available at the Whitefish Lake Activity Centre ceremony site to provide covered space if needed. More intimate weddings can also be arranged in cottages such as Papineau or Taunton.

The territory has a strong conservation mission and was developed by nature lovers who wanted to offer a peaceful, private, and authentic setting. How many guests can be hosted at a wedding at Kenauk Nature?

Kenauk Nature welcomes both intimate weddings and larger celebrations. Events can generally host between 10 and 100 guests. It’s also possible to have guests attend for the day only.

What does the ceremony site include?

The Whitefish Lake ceremony site includes a private space with a covered structure, a cement slab for an aditionnal tent ($), a small kitchen for the caterer, BBQs, a refrigerator, and washrooms.

Is a caterer required for a wedding?

No. Couples can choose their own food arrangements to suit their needs. A caterer is often recommended to make planning easier, but it isn’t required.

Can you bring their own alcohol to a wedding at Kenauk Nature?

Yes, but certain conditions apply. Caterers who hold their own permits can manage alcohol service. If alcohol is sold during the event, the appropriate permits must be obtained by the organizers.
