Occasional position from January 15 to March 15: a minimum of 3 days per month or 5 half-days per month are required.
To ensure safety on the trails (skiing and snowshoeing), administer first aid as needed, and respond to emergency situations, all while enjoying the trails and having time to ski and/or snowshoe. In doing so, the person can ensure that maintenance personnel are alerted to hazards & elements that may cause dangerous conditions on the trails.
Communication equipment is provided by Kenauk Nature.
Schedule: Variable; one day, every other weekend, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The weather conditions may vary the schedule.
Required skills: To be 16 years of age or older, to be in good physical shape, to have a good level of skiing and / or hiking and to have first aid training. Experience and knowledge in snowmobile driving is desirable but not required for the position.
Assets: Live in the Petite Nation, have a drivers license.
Support offered to volunteers: Annual access to the property’s trails for you and your family.
